While food and fellowship are an excellent duo, cooking for large groups requires careful planning and execution to make sure all food is handled and prepared safely. The last thing a good meal needs is bad case of food poisoning.

All ministries should be aware of the rules for safe food preparation. State legislators are taking a closer look at food preparation rules, too. For example, a state law in Minnesota requires food safety training for people who cook and serve food at church events.
